The General Tarleton Bar and Brasserie

The Bar and Brasserie are created from the original part of the The General Tarleton Inn and although it may initially feel much like any traditional pub with rooms in Yorkshire, it quickly becomes apparent that this is so much more.

It’s where we serve the carefully planned and lovingly prepared dishes that not only taste fantastic but look delicious too. Complimenting the food is a phenomenal wine list that includes some very special wines and champagnes that we’ve gone to great pains to choose and source. A selection is always available by the glass. If you have specific dietary considerations, simply call us in advance of your arrival and we will do our utmost to accommodate them.

On warmer, sunnier and drier days (something of a rarity in Yorkshire!) guests can enjoy al fresco dining in The General Tarleton’s garden. Or why not enjoy a meal in the orangery? The wonderfully light and airy atmosphere gives an ambience of serenity and calmness, away from the noise of daily life.

Wherever you dine, the atmosphere is always informal, the service always specatular. The
