Welcome to The General Tarleton
The General Tarleton Inn at Ferrensby
An old coaching inn with contemporary comforts, The General Tarleton Inn is in the pretty village of Ferrensby close to both York and Harrogate. Set in some of Yorkshire’s loveliest scenery you will find relaxed comfort, delicious food and fine wines but above all it is our team of friendly staff who are here to help you make the most of your visit that makes all the difference.
People come to The General Tarleton Inn for all sorts of reasons - for lunch or dinner, for a chance to explore Yorkshire’s fascinating history and for an escape from work or even to do some work. Local attractions include historic York, Knaresborough, Harrogate and Ripon plus the picture postcard villages, historic houses and famous abbey ruins of the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors.
We regularly welcome returning guests who come just to enjoy The General Tarleton Inn’s relaxed and unstuffy atmosphere and, of course, the excellent food.
